Hello! I am Ellen. I am an integrative psychotherapist in the transpersonal tradition. This means my approach combines a wide range of classical and creative therapies, both from Western psychology as well as Eastern philosophy, to suit the needs of each individual.
I work holistically to provide a trusting therapeutic relationship, under the guidance of your mind, body and spirit. I incorporate deep listening, Gestalt, creative imagination, dreams, breathing exercises and body work (mainly guided by the Chinese Meridian system, the Taoist Yin Yang principle and the Indian Chakra system) to support your experience in the here-and-now. In this sense, greater clarity can be found in order to understand the roots of your difficulties and your potential for change.
I hold a Master Degree in Transpersonal Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE/University of Northampton), a Diploma in Transpersonal Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE) and a BA in Business Studies (University of Leeds). I am a registered member with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am also a supervisor in group supervisions for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists in the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE).
My strength lies in facilitating your process of self-realisation, transformation and self-healing as well as turning your anxiety and stress into a new source of creativity and empowerment. Clients come to me with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, stress, depression, anger, grief, loss, trauma (war trauma, birth trauma, inter-generational trauma and preverbal trauma), unresolved family issues and cross-cultural understanding.
For face to face sessions, I see clients in CCPE in London W2 as well as in Rickmansworth WD3.
I also see clients online, which means you don't need to be in London or the UK to see a qualified multicultural transpersonal psychotherapist. With my deep understanding of Western and Eastern culture, sessions can be conducted in English or Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
